It seems that the demand for solo drinking is on the rise! We've heard rumors that Kyushu Hakata Cuisine Motsunabe Kou, Korean Cuisine Sakaya Daidai, and Mallory Pork Steak are adding more menu items perfect for solo drinking. These three places are attracting attention for those nights when you want to have a quick drink and go home. We've checked out some recommended "snacks to go with your drink" for solo drinkers.

The local Kyushu cuisine is even more extensive! Why not toast with some local sake?

The signature dish is the Hakata specialty "Motsunabe"[Kyushu Hakata Cuisine Motsunabe Kou]Speaking of drinking snacks, there are many local Kyushu dishes. The restaurant boasts a lineup that would make you feel like you could travel around Kyushu just by eating the dishes, including the Saga specialty "Squid Shumai," which is a fluffy shumai dumpling, and "Fried Mexicali," which uses Mexicali fish sourced from Miyazaki. Naturally, you'll want to pair it with Kyushu's local sake. They also have a selection of carefully selected fine shochu and sake. Eating motsunabe alone can be a bit of a challenge, but Kyushu's "snacks" will be a great ally for your solo drinking!

Pour yourself some makgeolli from the kettle and get into the "GO TO KOREA" mood.

Just having makgeolli in a kettle is enough to make you feel like you're in Korea![Korean Food and Drink House Daidai]Drinking alone at a Korean restaurant is of course full of Korean flavor. You can't go wrong with "chijimi" (a traditional Korean pancake), and while you're there, you should also try "tteokbokki." It's also a good idea to drink while nibbling on some "chanja." There's also a local trendy food called "white cream tteokbokki" (968 yen), which is tteokbokki topped with whipped cream, so I recommend trying that. If you think about finishing off with "stone-grilled bibimbap" or "soondubu," you'll understand just how great Korean restaurants are for drinking alone.
